Lakeside will be having it's fourth annual Hit-A-Thon on Sunday, April 21st. Every player in Lakeside will be able to compete in the Hit-A-Thon and it is a blast!
Lakeside will be using 99Pledges for people to be able to sponsor a player. Players can be sponsored with a flat donation or per hit. If a player cannot compete in the event, they can still be sponsored and raise money for Lakeside. There will be awards given to individual players and teams for the most money raised.

The Player from each Division that hits the furthest ball will receive a prize the day of the event.
The Player from each Division that raises the most money will receive a prize (at a later date due to total $ needed to be added up).
The Team from each division that raises the most money will receive a team prize (at a later date due to total $ needed to be added up).

The 2024 Lakeside Home Run Derby is right around the corner and it is time to start getting fired up for our “Mid-Season Classic”. This year we will be having our traditional “Adult” Home Run Derby held on Sunday, May 19th & our “Majors Division” Home Run Derby on Sunday, April 21st!
Each Majors team will have 2 representatives (12 total players) chosen by each team's Manager . The deadline for each team to name their contestants will be Friday, March 15th.
Pitching machine will be used (speed TBD)
Round 1 – Each contestant will get 5 warmup pitches and then 15 pitches
Top 6 contestants from Round 1 will move on to Round 2
Round 2 (totals start over) – Each contestant will get 3 warmup pitches and then 15 pitches
Top 2 contestants from Round 2 will move on to Round 3
Round 3 (totals start over) – Each contestant will get 3 warmup pitches and then 15 pitches
Player with most Home Runs in Round 3 is our 2024 Champion!
* When the player is down to their final 2 pitches in each round, gold baseballs will be used for pitches #14 and #15. Gold baseballs will count as 2 HR’s.
* Ties will be broken with a 3 pitch hit-off, no warm up pitches will be given in a hit-off.
Every team in Lakeside will be allowed to have 1 representative compete. That representative must be an “official volunteer” with the team (Manager, Coach, Team Parent).
The Lakeside Juniors and 50/70 Teams will be allowed to have 2 player representatives compete per team as well as their 1 “volunteer” representative.
The deadline for each team to name their contestant(s) is Saturday, April 13th (if a team does not name their contestants by then, that team will not have a representative). The past “Champions” of the Adult HR Derby automatically get to compete and do not count as the representative of their team.
All contestants in the Adult Derby and the Majors Derby will be able to be “sponsored”. Lakeside will be using 99Pledges for people to sponsor. Contestants can be sponsored with a flat donation or per HR hit. There will be prizes for the teams which raise the most money.
Top money raised by a Majors team (cumulative total from both the Adult Derby and the Majors Derby) – $150 towards their end of the season party!
Top money raised by a team (Non-Majors) from the Adult Derby - $150 towards their end of season party!
